When should we start planning our move?
As soon as you know you are moving, call Rumsey & Son to arrange a visit by our Representative. We will quickly assess your requirements, discuss the various packing options and devise a suitable logistical plan incorporating any special arrangements you may have.
How much notice do I need to secure my booking?
Generally two weeks notice particularly through the summer months and at bank holidays when we are extremely busy.
Will you advise us on the easiest way of carrying out our move?
Of course, and we are delighted to help. Our free, no-obligation pre-move survey and quotation will be tailored to your needs and budget. For example, Rumsey & Son can pack everything, only breakables or nothing at all (after providing you with boxes to pack yourself) - its your choice. We can also advise on specialist packing of items such as antiques, pictures and objects of sentimental value.
Is there any way of saving costs?
We have an excellent reputation for providing a first class service but that doesn't mean we will be expensive! Your quote will always be tailored to your needs and budget alike. What if we need to store some of our furniture?
Rumsey & Son are pleased to provide our secure and alarmed warehousing facilities to meet your specific storage requirements.
What will I do with the empty boxes?
Mindful of environmental issues, we endeavor to re-use/re-cycle boxes where possible. Once you have finished your unpacking, call us to arrange collection.
