Rumsey & Son, as part of the Shore Porters Society, is a member of BAR (British Association of Removers) and FIDI (Federation Internationale de Demenageurs International) and is financially bonded by BAR Overseas Group, your personal guarantee for complete peace of mind. We are a member of the US-based Household Goods Forwarders Association of AMERICA (HHGFAA). As member of these trade organisations we are required to abide by their codes of practice.
BAR Code of Practice
- We will be honest and fair in all our dealings with our customers and the general public.
- We will provide a clear description of the work to be carried out, and what preparation the customer undertakes to do basing our formal quotation upon this.
- We will ensure that all our staff are competent, courteous, and committed to providing a high standard of service.
- We will provide all the materials and equipment necessary for the professional execution of your removal.
- We will comply with all the requirements of membership specified by the British Association of Removers.
- We will do our utmost to fulfil our obligations under this Code of Practice. Should we fail to do so, we will always receive complaints courteously and, where appropriate, take prompt and effective remedial action.
